What We Do And Why

Make An Impact Clothing sells high-quality environmentally friendly fashionable clothing which is backed by a 100% money-back guarantee if you aren't delighted with your order.  All of our clothing is made from sustainable fibres, such as organic cotton, Tencel and Modal (wood pulp fibres), line and bamboo, and have a minimal carbon footprint.

We buy only from manufacturers which are ethically sound, i.e. all workers involved in their production are provided with safe working conditions and paid fair wages.  All suppliers are approved and certified by the Fair Wear Foundation which monitors labour conditions for garment workers, and by the Global Organic Textile Standard, or GOTS.

A full 10% of gross profit is donated to a relevant charity focussed on supporting the most disadvantaged to ensure that the benefits of ethical and sustainable trade are felt far and wide, as well as within the textile industry itself.  The charity is currently One World Collective, whose excellent work stretches across several continents, and promotes social enterprise based on sustainable living.

You may not have previously given much thought to where the clothes you wear are produced, by whom and under what conditions, and there isn't much reason why this should have occurred to you.  The fact is that even most clothing retailers have no idea about the working conditions of their suppliers' factories, let alone the production of raw materials, and sadly the industry - which is largely based in developing countries - doesn't have a great record with workers' rights.

The only reason clothing can often be sold so cheaply by retailers is that people in the supply chain are being taken advantage of, which is not a practice we condone or support.  Through our business endeavours, we promote the idea of paying a little more for clothing to eradicate predatory and exploitative practices within the textile industry, and to help make clothing production more sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Buy your clothes with confidence, knowing that they are of the highest quality backed by an iron-clad guarantee, and also that you are contributing towards making the world a better place in small but very important ways.
